Mobile Preset Instructions

Thank you for purchasing a #EditWithEm mobile preset! We are so excited to have you be a member of the #EditWithEm fam.

Below you will find the instructions for how to get the .DNG file onto your Lightroom mobile app. There are multiple ways to do this. If ordered on your phone I recommened using Intructions #1.

At the end of this page there is also a final editing step I use to create most of the images on my Instagram feed. If you want further details on how exactly I get my Instagram photos (plus my tips and tricks) you can purchase my editing guide here.

And don’t forget to tag #EditWithEm when you use my preset! I can’t want to see all of your edits :

Instructions #1

[purchased on mobile phone]

If you purchased my preset on your mobile phone, you will receive the preset in your browser immediately after purchase. Once directed to this page, you can follow the steps below (and the video below).

  1. Make sure Lightroom CC is downloaded on your mobile phone

  2. Click “BLUSH BABE. dng” or “VINTAGE SPICE".dng”

  3. Wait around 10 seconds for order to load (it’s a big file!!)

  4. Click “Open in ‘Lightroom CC” and you should be re-directed to the Lightroom App

  5. The .dng file should open automatically on your app

  6. At the top right corder there should be 3 horizontal dots, click those

  7. Click “create are preset”

  8. Name your preset

  9. Click “select” and “all”

  10. Click “save”

  11. Now you can go to any photo in your Lightroom app and scroll on the bottom where the editing tools are to find “preset” and apply the preset you downloaded.

  12. Tag me in all you edits!!! #EditWithEm


Instructions #2

[purchased on mobile phone + downloading from email]

If you purchased my preset on your mobile phone, you will receive the preset in your browser immediately after purchase. If you cannot follow the instructions to download right away (above), within 24 hours of your purchase, you can go to your email and add the preset to your Lightroom App. Find the email labeled “Emily Luciano: Your Digital Downloads for Order #”

*Make sure Google Chrome is downloaded on your mobile phone, you CANNOT use the Safari app.

  1. Make sure Lightroom CC is downloaded on your mobile phone

  2. Click “BLUSH BABE. dng” or “VINTAGE SPICE".dng”

  3. Open with Google Chrome NOT SAFARI

  4. At the bottom of the browser, click “download”

  5. Click “Open in…” and scroll until you find the Lightroom app

  6. The .dng file should open automatically on your app

  7. At the top right corder there should be 3 horizontal dots, click those

  8. Click “create are preset”

  9. Name your preset

  10. Click “select” and “all”

  11. Click “save”

  12. Now you can go to any photo in your Lightroom app and scroll on the bottom where the editing tools are to find “preset” and apply the preset you downloaded.

Instructions #3

[purchased on desktop + downloading from email]

If you purchased my preset on your desktop or mobile phone, you will receive the preset in your email immediately after purchase. Within 24 hours of your purchase, you can go to your email and add the preset to your Lightroom App. Find the email labeled “Emily Luciano: Your Digital Downloads for Order #”

  1. Make sure Lightroom CC is downloaded on your mobile phone

  2. Open your email on your desktop computer

  3. Click “BLUSH BABE. dng” or “VINTAGE SPICE".dng”

  4. The file should download to your computer & you can Airdrop the file to your phone

  5. Once in your camera roll, you can open the Lightroom app and click the add photo icon in the bottom right corner.

  6. Select the DNG file (the image might not show up, but you can still click the image and it will import the file to Lightroom)

  7. At the top right corder there should be 3 horizontal dots, click those

  8. Click “create are preset”

  9. Name your preset

  10. Click “select” and “all”

  11. Click “save”

  12. Now you can go to any photo in your Lightroom app and scroll on the bottom where the editing tools are to find “preset” and apply the preset you downloaded.

  13. Tag me in all you edits!!! #EditWithEm


Final Editing Tips

  1. After adding the filter you may have to play around with some Lightroom settings

    1. Exposure: You should change this to your liking, since not all photos have the same exposure

    2. Skin tone: Go to the “color tab” in Lightroom and then “mix” and change the saturation of the orange in the photo. This should help with making sure everyone’s skin tones can work with the presets!

  2. After exporting from Lightroom, import photo into the VSCO app.

  3. Add on the A6 filter and just the intensity of the filter!
